WE ARE COMMITTED
to gathering together to engage in relevant Bible studies,
supporting one another and to owning a clear
mission of serving.
Acts 2:42

Why Small Groups?

We at CFC believe that we were created to be in relationship with God.  Once we begin a relationship with God, through the work of Christ on the cross, we are then called to live “Christ Centered Lives”.  One aspect of living a life in which Jesus is at the center involves relationships with others.  At CFC, we have tried to make the process of getting connected with others as easy as possible, offering small and mid-size community groups.

So you are considering joining a small group?  We at CFC understand that it is possible to attend the larger church services each week without engaging with other people. When Jesus was asked about the most important commandment in Mark 12, He responded by saying that we were created to be in a loving relationship with God and with others.  We may run into people all day in the busy Washington DC area and yet miss out on the true depth of relationships that God intended us to live in.

For this reason, we offer small groups at CFC.  It is our hope that you have a group of supportive friends to meet with regularly, encourage each other with God's Word, serve others and hold one another accountable to the standards expressed in the Bible.

  Mid-Size Groups

What is a Mid-Size Group?

Mid-Size Groups were formed with the intention of helping believers get connected with other Christ followers beyond the Sunday church service. We understand that the larger worship service is a difficult place to meet people and we also recognize the fact that not everyone is ready to join a small group. In this fast paced culture that we live in, we realize that if we are not intentional about connecting with people, it will not happen. If you are interested in finding a group that will provide biblically relevant teaching along with an opportunity to meet more Christ followers from CFC, then read the following list off opportunities to see if there is one suited to meet your current life stage.
